Not only is Antonio Alvarez one of Valo‘s most dedicated team riders, but the man known as Tony Cheetah is also responsible for the brand’s first-ever European team video TV.EU, and the color-coordinated signature skate he’s been repping along with friends & teammates Patrick Ridder, Olav Norheim & Kåre Lindberg.
As the highly productive man is already working on some new projects you should be hearing about very soon on Be-Mag, we took the opportunity to take a look at Tony’s ride and see what keeps him rolling so strong… Right before sharing another sunny session in the streets of Barcelona: enjoy, and stay tuned for more!
Boot: Valo V13 EU Boot
Wheels: Ground Control 59mm
Bearings: Them Goods
Frames: Ground Control FLT 3
Liner, cuff & buckle: Valo
Soul & backslide plates: Valo V13
Describe your personal blade setup:
Valo V13 EU cool grey, a basic skate that works perfectly.
What parts do you wear through the quickest:
Living here you wear off wheels and soul plates quickly.
What part do you break most often:
Wheels for sure, I might be too heavy for them.
Which parts are you paranoid about breaking:
Wheels while landing a trick, happened a couple of times and it’s scary.
What spares/tools do you keep in your backpack:
Just an Allen key which I usually forget about.
Where do your parts go once you are done with them?
Always give away to whoever of the homies have the same size as I do.
Flat or Freestyle: Anti for life.
Anything you plan to change on your current setup?
I just sometimes change the frame color, but this is the kind of setup I’ve been skating for years. Basic V13 with Featherlites, just works perfect for me, there’s no need for a change.
Do you skate different setups for different terrain?
No, I always wear the same setup because I barely get myself into a bowl or go cruise around.
What was your very first skate setup? Roces 5th element.
What was the best setup you’ve had to date?
Skin-less white Valo’s (White M12s) for the first time, full Face The Music mode.
Could you describe your dream setup?
Already got my dream V13 in the color I wanted, so it can’t get any better.
