It has been an eventful two days in Montpellier since our first update, with the biggest crowd of extreme sports enthusiasts gathered here at FISE! The sun kept shining, the rain cooled us down, and the girls didn’t grow any older. The park invitational got everybody warmed up, and all eyes are now on the slopestyle course, where both amateurs and pros competed yesterday.
“The sun kept shining, the rain cooled us down, and the girls didn’t grow any older.”
The qualification round saw the high-energy blading of Dave Lang and Maxime Genoud scored the highest points, followed by Nick Lomax and 16 others who will compete today in the semi-finals, along with last year’s top 5 bladers on the overall World Series ranking and Julien Lemoine, who took first place in the amateur competition. No need to write any more about it though: watch the livestream on Be-Mag, and don’t miss out on a single trick of the pro contest!
Away from the slopestyle course, we let ourselves forget about the FISE a little though, and the last couple nights were spent with a few beers and some friends, enjoying the south of France and its nice evenings. Staying away from the crazy nightlife of Montpellier, we hung out and chatted until late in the morning still. And of course, woke up just as hungover as usual, with barely enough time to bring you this rushed second update before we watch the juniors compete. More in update #3!
