As the Pow-wow grows, its attraction grows stronger too. Held in Jacksonville, Florida, the event has turned into an annual gathering of sorts, to which people from all over the US travel to skate, camp, share drinks around a bonfire, party, and have a great time. Let’s not forget to mention the usual Canadian visitors, frequent Japanese flyers, and a couple of French tourists who also add some international flavor to this great and colorful mix!
Several skate teams have also made it a point to attend the Pow-wow, and this year, following Razors spring breakers‘ example, a solid Ground Control cast also jumped into an RV and hit the road! GC riders Chris Smith, Matty Schrock, the Chase brothers, Dave Lang & Chris Dafick followed the lead of team manager Keaton Newsom down to Florida, and as proved by the edit that just dropped yesterday, some serious blading took place along the way!
Thankfully, Detroit’s Brian Weis is not only one of the brand’s most valuable assets on the blades, but also behind the camera. In addition to shredding the gritty streets of Florida and the Pro/am division of the event itself, he managed to capture the moments that turned the road to Pow-wow into a memorable one! We are proud to invite you to join the trip, so get on board and look through Brian’s lens for yet another great Tour Life article!
