Like every great adventure, when our little crew gathered in Copenhagen for RAD‘s first-ever Blade Days event, little did we know this whole trip would end up being called the Cayenne tour. It took quite a few sessions, several days sleeping in our tents, plenty of hammer tricks, and one too many nasty falls for the obvious to become apparent: we had indeed become something more powerful than the sum of our individual characters.
But before we hit the road, there were some sunny, and some not-so-sunny days in Denmark‘s capital before the whole crew even teamed up in Roskilde. After a week of trying to get started early and film some clips on the local street spots while avoiding the sporadic raindrops, the unfortunate truth is we hadn’t captured many tricks on tape and were thus forced to stick to the initial plan: meet up in Roskilde, enjoy the shit out of the festival, and figure out the rest afterward!
And enjoy the festival we sure did! If you now have to wait for the full-length video release next month to watch this year’s Blading Version, here is your chance to take a look into the early days of the Cayenne project already! Thanks to photographer Kaspars Alsknis, here’s a first glimpse of what happened while in Denmark, be it skating the streets of Copenhagen, shredding the beautiful transitions of Roskilde, or simply dancing until the end of the night: enjoy!
